Large rear extensions and internal alterations to a semi-detached home

This project involved new two storey and single storey rear extensions plus internal alterations to a semi-detached property. The original building was built on a M.O.D. site and primarily used as housing for military services for many years. The property is extremely well built but needed improving and extending to accommodate family living.

The rear extension housed a new open plan living and children’s play area looking out onto the rear garden at ground floor level, which also linked to a beautifully laid out new kitchen and separate utility room. The space works really well, bringing the whole family together whilst at the same time providing areas that can be divided as required.

At first floor level the extension added a new master bedroom, with a dressing room and ensuite. This now turned the property into a large 4 bedroom family home with separate bathroom.

The exterior finishes of the new extension provide an excellent contrast to the original property, with the new extension finished in a modern white render. The modern windows and large folding sliding doors ensure that whilst the property is extremely functionable internally, externally it is beautifully finished and can be greatly appreciated when looking upon the property whilst sitting in the garden.

“Chris was a pleasure to work with on our home renovation. He was very understanding of our vision. Chris has realistic ideas of what we could achieve with the space and helped us imagine the possibilities. Chris used his original ideas to fulfil our expectations for a contemporary home”
